hello i am new in this website
i got married in canada and decided to go with an oversease application ,now i am back to my country the sponsership application was approved and the application was recieved by damas and its in process i have a question : if i have to register me and my wife as married in syria ,if i didnt will it have a negative assesment on my application ?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have a couple of questions for you since I couldn't tell from what you wrote. I just want to make sure you don't have any difficulties!

are you the applicant or the sponsor?

if you are the sponsor:
are you a PR or citizen of Canada? If you are only a PR you need to get back to Canada as soon as possible! PR's are not allowed to be out of Canada while a sponsorship application is in process.

If you are the applicant than everything is fine (well at least with where you are residing). I think it is a good idea to register your marriage with Syria. It definitely won't hurt anything.

i am the applicant and my wife is canadian she is sponsering me .
i know it wont hurt anyone but the only thing is that it takes 4 to 5 months for just to register myself as married to my wife and i dont want to wait that long since i can do it from canada the same process.
i just recieved yesterday an e-mail form damas requesting documents from me :
1:if i did military :nops i didnt and i have the proof
2:my civil state indicating my marital status
3:to get the certificat du selection that we already applied for
4:to pay the right for residency fee
and i have 45 days to send those
the only part that worried me was the civil state paper that still indicates that i am single cuz i got married in canada and not syria thats why i made this thread and thanks for answering

Nope you dont have to just include your Canadian marriage cert, they will put two and two together.
