I'm a Canadian citizen and my child was born abroad. We've applied for her Canadian citizenship proof, and it's actually been approved and sent out but the embassy seems to have dropped the ball somehow because it's been a few months since approval and we still don't have it.
Anyway, we have a temporary Canadian passport for her which is valid. If we move to Canada prior to getting the proof of citizenship certificate, can we use the temporary passport to register for OHIP? I know you can use a passport in general, but I don't know if a temporary one is valid for something like this.
