Regarding tourist visa from Australia

Hi,

I am thinking about To invite my brother on my college convocation actually, I am a inter nation student here in canada from india and my brother is a student in Australia from
india. He is 21 year old and his study visa expire in 2023

His circumstances are

Studying Diploma
Not working as looking for job
Had worked in casual jobs before can provide few payslips

Has AUD 5000 in his account.

I am his brother Living in canada.they will be bring enough money to spend in Canada and also stay with me and cover all living expensive including travelling and etc.they are extremely busy and will be able to visit me for a short period of time.after their visit to canada they must return back for his studies.

Now my question is if its possible for him to get canada visa ?

His college is off for three weeks during the period of purposed trip.

Any advise would be highly appreciated.

So you do not mention when this trip would be planned given currently your brother could not travel to Canada as a visitor given it would be considered a non essential trip and would not come under the extended family category as you are only in Canada temporarily. Plus of course currently 14 days of the 3 weeks would be in isolation and there seems no end to when that requirement may end.

Generally for visit visas the applicant needs to show they can support both the cost of the air ticket and to fund their stay in Canada so having just AUD 5000 in his account when the airfare might be 2000AUD of that might be a challenge for a 3 week trip.

Having said all that no harm in applying for a visit visa if you are talking about a summer 2021 visit although maybe keep it to a 2 weeks proposd trip for purpose of the application as well as making a solid case that your brother will leave at the end of his stay given this is often where applications fail when applying from outside of home country...

Given current restrictions he would need to do quarantine in both Canada and Australia for 2 weeks each and pay for the quarantine in a hotel in Australia which I believe is 3K. He may not actually be able to reenter Australia as an int student.
