I have been in more then one relationship before (i.e. marriage). Do i need to list both the earlier relationships or the one which is in file with cic ? I haven't sponsored anyone before but was sponsored 8 years ago. The form only has space for details (i.e. DOB, Type, From, To) for one relationship (marriage/common law). I want to sponsor my future spouse. Please advise if i need to only mention the spouse who had sponsored me or also the other relationship which i was briefly involved and didn't work out and hadn't sponser her.
My second marriage was in another country and she didn't wanted to join me in Canada and the marriage ended in 1 year. I didn't sponser her. So, do i need to still mention her details even though cic has no records of her ? Please advice.

Really appreciate any help with the response.

Write ALL your previous marriage and/or common law relationships. All, no exceptions.

Put aside all previous relationships that you did not consider as serious ones (not marriage). Although, you have to declare that you've been Sponsored before and have to list your ex wife as previous relationship before current. That's what I did.
Because it's only one legal relationship they actually can track & check, the rest of your personal "adventures" would not be trackable.

Yes, you have to! Those were official and lawfully legal relationship.
They have the rights to send a request to the country of her origin to check provided information. While any other relationship would be hard to track, it only might delay the process caused by load of unnecessary information.

what about boyfriend or girlfriend? like date.....

I never married before
No. Only marriages or common law relationships (where you have lived together as a couple for 12 months or more)

Does CIC check previous common-law relationships from other countries?
Whether they do or don't is not the issue. If you have been in a previous common law relationship you must declare it. You should assume that CIC does check.
