Regarding Studying in Canada. Please Help!!!!

Hello All,

I am from India and i am planning for education in Canada.
Below given is my profile-

10th- 83%
12th - 65%
Bachelors of Engg in Information Technology:
Average: 51%
Avg of last 2yrs: 54%

Seeing at above profile it is clear that i cannot get admission in Canadian University for Masters/MEngg in Computer Science.

The overseas consultant suggested me that i should go for Graduate Certificate prog which has co-op option and which is of 1year and available in Colleges like Conestoga and Algonquin.

Please advice me if this would be useful. I found that if we do 1yr education we can get only 1yr of Post study work permit. Also i heard that employers do not prefer the students with Graduate certificate program.

Please let me know what would be best option for me so that i can get job in Canada after completing studies and also immigration will be easier.

This is all true - especially for Engineering. You should take a two year course so that you qualify for a three year post graduate work permit and will have a higher chance of qualifying to apply for PR.

I can't pick a course for you - this is something you'll have to do yourself based on your past studies and your career desires.

I meant what type of course should i search for? Master's i cannot take, graduate certificate course is just of one year so what program should i look for? Can we do Graduate Diploma? I thought graduate diploma/advanced diploma is supposed to be done after 12th and no after Bachelors.


Please advice me.
