Regarding body check requirements for family sponsors application

Hi all

My spouse is a Canadian citizen and is going to sponsor myself to immigrate to Canada.

We've been through the initial application process, and I got an email from IRCC that asking for medical examination for all my family members:
As a final reminder, you must also complete the medical examination for you and all family members
within 30 days of this letter if you have not done so previously. You are required to have all your family
members be examined as part of the process of applying for permanent residence in Canada, even if
they will not come to Canada with the principal applicant. This examination of your non accompanying
dependent is in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation section 70(1)(e).

Since my spouse and my kids are already Canadian citizens; do they still need to go through the body check process as the one I did? If yes, how did they conduct such test as currently I am the only one who has an application ID?

Did you have no non-accompanying dependents (children from previous marriages or whatever) in your application? This seems to imply that.

You're correct that spouse and kids do not need to have the medical examination.

I'm a bit confused by your email as we got instructions in the form of a separate letter for every individual who needed to have the medical examination.

In short, I think the only issue to be concerned about here is IF ircc is somehow under the impression you have other dependents - non-accompanying - who need to have medical examinations. I believe it is grounds to deny your application if non-accompanying dependents do not ahve the exams.
