Hi,
I along with my wife had applied for Temporary Tourist visa for Canada and got a letter that our visa has been rejected.
1. It says that "i am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident as stipulated in para 179(b) of IRPR, based on the purpose of ur visit.
2. "i am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident as stipulated in para 179(b) of IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

whereas I have my own house in India and we are getting Pensions from Government as we both are retired from Government Service and have good amount of liquid money in shape of FDrs.

My Brother who is Citizen of Canada has send me invitation letter and all his bank statements, last 3 years income tax statements and we have applied form accordingly.
My question are
1. How much money we need to fill in form to carry Canada.earlier we fill 20,000 CAD each for 3 months stay
2. Do i need to signup new GC-key or can i use the same old gc key for reapply.
3. What more information is more required to get the visa.

Based on other posts here generally when people apply to visit for a vacation they only apply for a 2-3 week stay and not 3 months. Actual length of authorised stay would be determined by CBSA at the border so could be longer but asking for 3 months upfront can be a red flag in some circumstances

1. You must address the refusal reasons before reapplying.

2. Three months' stay indicates you don't have strong reasons to return to India. Hence, you can overstay your visit. A 3-4 weeks' visit is recommended.

3. What strong ties can you demonstrate to India: Property and land ownership? Do you live with dependent family members? Are your FDs locked-in or the interest is credited to your account periodically? Have you traveled to other visa-required countries such as the US, UK, Australia, Schengen, NZ, etc? Do you get any benefits as a pensioner? Do you have to return to India to renew your pension?

4. What compelling reasons can you submit to show you must return to India after a short visit?
