Hi all,
I have got a refusal 2nd time for the visa application.

Quick Background:
Employment: Software Developer for 2.8 years
Graduation: Btech in Information Technology
Applied for: Cloud Computing at Loyalist College
1st Application on 12th Nov 2020
Rejection for 1st Application: 29th Nov 2020
2nd Application on 18th Dec 2020
Rejection for 2nd Application: 22nd Mar 2021

Reason for refusal:
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your purpose of visit.
  • Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and your future prospects and plans.
I have received the 1st GCMS notes today, although I applied on 2nd December. Notes -

Previous education/employment experience is inconsistent with current educational goals; I am not satisfied that the motivation to persue this particular program in Canada, at this point in time, is reasonable, see LOA/transcripts

I am waiting for the 2nd GCMS (applied on 22nd Mar).

I am not able to understand the reason properly. Any inputs would be really appreciated. Thanks

I got refusal from Simon Fraser , UOfCalgary and UOfWaterloo.....awaiting response from MCMasters .........Should I apply for Sep 2021 fr any other university...

Also suggest what can be improved in order to re-apply fr these universities in Jan 2022

I think this thread is for study permit refusals, not school admission decisions.

To answer your question, I believe Fall 2021 applications for graduate programs at most universities are already closed. You'll need to apply for Jan 2022 at the earliest. Good luck.

• Given the applicant's previous education and/or employment history, I am not satisfied
that the motivation to pursue this particular program at this point in time in Canada is reasonable.

Previous MBA, 9 years experience already in HR? You should be pursuing a Master's degree at the minimum, nothing less. Also, how will a degree in HR specific to Canadian practices help you back home? It is possible, you just need to prove it convincingly.

I wonder why VO fear that I will not come back to my country after education.. If I wanted to do that it. I would have gone there on Visitor Visa and stayed there without hassle of student visa as already hold valid TRV

My intial plan was to apply for masters but later changed my mind. I tried proving it by mentioning it was general MBA and after working this many years in HR I feel I am lacking professional HR education which can help me getting better positions and all those Points.

Thank You

You should have stuck with the decision to go for Masters. The requirements for a PG in HR at Conestoga is a 2/3 year undergrad degree from a college or university. No experience required. I did a quick search and the description of Masters in HRM from a Canadian University is:

Master of HRM (MHRM)
An executive-style program designed to provide HRM specialists with the skills and credentials necessary to become senior-level professionals. Offered on a full-time or part-time basis.

Now which do you think would have been better suited for your profile?

Thanks for your help.. I have to do the entire admission process again and I am sure it will take 5/6 Month which is Sad. I think I will try applying again with Convincing reasons and find out what VO has to say this time... Any tips on how should I apply with current course and profile..

Thank You

It may take longer, if you didn't receive a time extension notice then the delay is just due to the recent holidays.

Has anyone got refusal for the below reasons:

- I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability, and/or your future prospects and plans.

IELTS scores were as follow:

L-5.5
R-6
W-6
S-6

Applied for May 2021 session after Higher Secondary education.

Could it be because the Listening score is 5.5?

Anyone else had the same situation and can share the experience?
