This is the first time I'm hearing a rejection because of eligibility after medical request.
This is, unfortunately, quite common. Getting a medical request has never been proof that you've passed a final eligibility review.

Agreed. I don't know where the misconception came from that the request for medical means that the final eligibility review has been passed.

How about getting RPRF and bio data request? The RPRF email says "application has been found eligible". Is it safe to assume that RPRF means there is very less scope of rejection from an eligibility point of view?

I agree that final decision is based on eligibility + medical + security + criminality.

This is what we have observed, yes. It is rare (but still possible) to be refused after that -

All very true. I think until a decision has been made, CIC can change their mind at any point.

It's worth nothing however that OP25A does make it clear that MR should only be issued after the applicant has been found eligible. So, I'm assuming that this kind of occurrence should be quite uncommon moving forward - for anyone who applied from 02/01/13 onwards.

I think you make a valid point.

The OP here (user CST) applied about 1.5 years ago.

Assuming OP applied under CEC in the first place - the last line makes me think not ::)

So sorry to hear your case.

in my GCMS also they wrote.

In sept - Duties listed in employment letter match NOC Code description. However, Salary indicated in employment letter does not match information on Tax documentation.(review recommended).

in Nov -They labeled Eligibility pass and all the docments are good

This means is it ok or still have issues?

Sorry to hear your situation, but did you do the RCMP fingerprint check?

I am in the same situation I did my medicals this month and I am waiting for Biodata and RPRF, but on my GCMS notes says that I passed my eligibility.

Can you let us know what notes the Vo @ CPP-O have written towards the back of the notes that you have received? It's these notes that determine where your app is at - not simply the "passed" status.

My notes are similar to yours, after a second review from a officer I was passed in the eligibility and medicals was sent to me

Do you have more cases like this, since you mention quite common?

So medical exam is not a safe sign any more.

Hi everyone,
I need help. I received a medical exam request in the middle of October and finished medical exam by the end of October. Then, received refusal letter from CIC two weeks later. The reason is they didn't satisfy about my job details and pay stub I prepared and applied a year and half ago. I'm very confused. I thought I passed all the document parts and received medical exam part.
I need to know is what I can do from now and what kinds of documents or letters are strong enough to receive my PR in Canadian Experience Class.

Hi I am sorry that you got refused.

But the painful fact is, your duties did not match with HRSDC duties. It would have matched, if you had just researched a little (for example this forum). There are hundreds of active members here, who could have helped you with your reference letter. But obviously for you to receive that help, you would need to come to this forum, and check out what others have written.

Clearly you have not.

Medical Request does not guarantee PR, it is another step in the whole process. But yes this true that, generally we receive MR, after everything is cleared. In your case, I suspect, the refusal letter was issued late, in the mean time MR was issued as standard protocol. You can contact CIC and give it a try. But I am afraid, they are just going to ask you apply again (which is your next move btw).

There could be a miracle, where CIC would ask you to ignore the refusal letter and send you PPR. I doubt it though.
