Dear experts,
I have granted a refugee status few months ago.Hopefully will get my PR application processed soon!
My question is, does the 2 years that I had lived here in Canada, before i granted the refugee status, account as residency credit (account as a temporary residency)?
I was studying at that time not working.
Please any idea?
thank you in advance.

Do you mean for citizenship purposes? You get half credit for each day you were in Canada before becoming a PR; but remember, they only count the last 4 years, so you must always have at least 2 years of PR before you can apply for naturalization.

I guess, the question is about PR... it sure counts towards citizenship (half), but for maintaining PR status you will have to live no less than two years already being PR - the earlier TRV stay doesn't count here.
