Can a canadian citizen who was once refugee with PR go home , not now but in the future?
Canada does NOT restrict the travel of its citizens any more for former refugees than it might for any citizen, even those born in Canada. That is, having been a refugee in the past does NOT affect a Canadian citizen's travel rights.
Obtaining Canadian citizenship obviously results in the cessation of refugee status under UNHCR guidelines. By obtaining Canadian citizenship an individual has acquired "
a new nationality and enjoys the protection of the country of that new nationality." (Canada being that "new" country.) Which should be OK. Since the person is then a Canadian citizen, with all the rights and privileges of any and all other Canadian citizens. Including the right to travel like any other Canadian citizen.
But where in the world the individual can then travel, that depends
MORE on the laws of the country the individual might try to travel to as it does Canadian law. And the conditions in that country. Including what dangers there might be for the particular individual.
