I worried about if it is just for me! Because others got work permit in 3 months

I don’t think so! Because i went to irb and asked about my status they told me they are ready to start my application but they are waiting cbsa ! But in my irccc portal background check is completed! I really Don’t understand how is going!

Is background check the same as front end security clearance from CBSA?

Work permit extension timeline or challenges for refugee claimant:I am a refugee claimant ,applied in 2023. Still waiting for hearing. My work permit is gone expire on dec 18 2025, to be on safer side i applied for work permit extension in march itself ! Still no updates ,I am worried about my working eligibility if for any reason they reject my work permit on dec 19 th 2025 or jan 2025.( anticipating medical exam requirement,I believe I applied in hurry , not sure ) . My work permit How do I save my job in that scenario ? What are the options ? It’s too stressful being refugee claimant. I faced discrimination and also
Going through mental health issues ( related to emotional distress and workplace trauma issues). Please guide me

Hello Everyone, I just noticed some changes on my portal . I already submitted evidence for leaa complex Last December . Waiting for hearing date . And this thing is changes on my irb portal . Does Everybody have same thing on portal or this means something ? Expert advice please . Thanks

If you applied for work permit extension you should have been provided with an extension which is Valid for atleast 6 months while your application is being processed.As long as your claim is still being processed your permit will get extended.And i agree with you on the fact the whole process of being a claimant drains mentally. Stay strong!!!
