You'll get the passport back either as you are boarding the plane to return to your home country - or once you arrive in your home country. It does not count as a deportation provided you leave on your own. But note that you may still have challenges returning to Canada in the future.

Thank you so much

One question, is there any timeline like when I apply for withdrawal, how much it takes for CBSA to process this?

Also, any transit requirements for travelling to home country?

You must coordinate your travel with CVSA because certain airlines may be your only option .

As soon as a claimant file for withdrawal, will the work permit and SIN becomes invalid even though the CBSA interview has not happened?

Many refugees and skilled workers are leaving nowadays. Make sense coz Refugee asylum process is so dang lonng
While both involve people moving, they’re driven by very different factors. The slow asylum system is a real issue, but it’s not the main reason skilled workers leave sometimes choosing to leave for economic or career reasons.

Long wait times aside:
1. Skilled workers get processed within 6-8 months through EE. They aren't leaving.
2. Real refugees don't have the option of "shopping around". The alternative is to go back where real danger exists. Those who left because of "processing times" alone, there's a question of how real some of their claims even were.
