Parliament is prorogued. Those measures Miller spoke of in Nov are not going to the see the light of day anytime soon. Unless bureaucrats find tricks to circumvent it.

Can’t change the program entirely but could make some alterations to existing program.

Nope. The file hasn't been moved. A lot of claimants from 2023 and 2024 are still waiting. Maybe not going to hear anything until next year. Finger crossed

I applied mine recently and my case was referred to IRB in 2 weeks, which is very similar to yours. I saw people receiving letter from IRB saying that their case is less complicated case.

I am also expecting a letter from IRB but haven't heard anything yet. Waiting eagerly. Let me know if you get any update.

I think every case is different and judged on it's own merit. So let's see how it goes.

On February 7th we received PPCD. On February 24th I received such a letter :
Subject: Administrative Transfer of your file to Western Region
Your old file numbers were: TC5-07919, TC5-07922, TC5-07925, TC5-07926
Your file has been transferred to the Western Region of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada for the rest of the proceedings. This transfer has been done to process your claims more efficiently.
If a hearing is required to process your claims, the hearing will be held virtually. More information, including details of the hearing will be provided in the notice to appear.
We wish to remind you that the Refugee Protection Division (RPD) must receive any documents or evidence you want to use to support your claims at least 10 days before your hearing. Please send any additional documents you wish to provide to the RPD in Western Region at the address noted above.
Please use the new RPD file numbers in all future correspondence.
New RPD file numbers:
VC5-04274, VC5-04275, VC5-04276, VC5-04277

Sincerely,
WN, Registry Officer
For the Registrar
Tel: 1-833-931-5121
What does it mean? What should I do? I'm just waiting. Or should I send them the documents? Who received this letter? What do you recommend?

I think this means you files have been transferred to Western region - Vancouver office so that it can be processed faster. You will get to hear from them once they start processing the file.

All immigration files are routinely distributed within Canada and abroad. It is an attempt to rebalance the work level between offices since some would end up very busy while other offices would be significantly less busy. Also an attempt to make sure the processing times are more consistent although not perfect.

I feel like processing in West Coast office, is a bit faster than Central or Eastern region. As you mentioned, to maintain the balance of workload between offices are the prime purpose here. I am from Vancouver so def the processing will be from Vancouver office, has been 4 months but hasn't got the ICAC letter yet. Let's see how much time it takes.
