Refuge/Assylum claim from outside of Canada

I'm in need of guidance for my case. I'm Coptic and would to apply for refuge or Asylum claim from out of Canada and Egypt. Do I need to hire an attorney to help me? How much would legal fees cost? Any information will be helpful. Thanks

You don't need a lawyer. However assuming you do not have a TRV for Canada (which would allow you to claim asylum once you reach Canada), you do need to be living outside of Egypt and must first be recognized as a refugee by UNHCR or a similar referral application.

Your cousin cannot help you with the UNHCR referral. This is something you'll need to take care of. The first step is to move outside of Egypt. Once you have moved outside of Egypt, you'll need to contact the UNHCR office in that region.

But his cousin could invite him to Canada on a visitor visa than claim asslyum
