In this position, Ivy has the following duties & responsibilities:
- Coordinate with operations manager and fellow employees to work on a variety of projects, including creating graphic designs and templates for signage and decals, manuals, catalogues, business cards, and other marketing documents.
- Create mockup web pages that the front-end developer can translate into code and prototypes that showcase the user flow and interactions, using software such as Adobe Creative suite.
- Work with vendors (print production) providing all the necessary files and format for production of graphic designs ensuring all work meets our standard of quality. costs and time constraints.
- Take photos of inventory as needed & edit raw pictures using graphic alignment with company goals and approved content by the manager.
- Integrate new logo and color palette “(provided)” in all written and online communications.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating relevant information on the internal and external website (i.e. new products, new project sites, content updates, etc.) using Joomla and ensuring documents and web pages are current and properly linked.
- Improve and maintain Oxford Builder’s logo, website, and business card.
- Keep up-to-date files by ensuring that copies of artwork are saved and stored according to company procedures
- Assist with general office duties, such as shipping, work orders & purchasing.

- Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials in order to meet their needs
- Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication
- Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives
- Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements of the subjects to be rendered using traditional tools, multimedia software and image processing, layout and design software
- Estimate cost of materials and time to complete graphic design
- Use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides or hire an illustrator or photographer to produce images that meet clients' communications needs
- Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers
- Co-ordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual or electronic materials, such as Web sites, CDs and interactive terminals
- Co-ordinate sub-contracting
- Work in a multidisciplinary environment
- Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians.
