Hi everyone! I haven’t been able to find a proper answer for this, hope someone can help.

I just received my reference letter from one of my employers and they have mentioned “During her tenure as <most recent position>, she had the following core responsibilities”. However, I had the same responsibilities since joining, except for one point related to leading/mentoring. I was promoted just 3 months before I resigned so I’m wondering if CIC will consider the responsibilities as applicable only for 3 months. Should I get this corrected or is it fine to submit as is? I would like to avoid getting it corrected if possible as it took a month just to get this letter. Thanks in advance!

My advice would be to get a new letter. You may want to avoid any confusion or doubts.

Thank you! I’ll request a new corrected letter then.

Also just noticed my payslips have the most recent designation as well. Probably because I downloaded them after my promotion. Are all payslips necessary? My reference letter doesn’t mention my salary.

Okay, another dumb question. There’s a minor formatting error in my reference letter. One of my responsibilities has been split mid-sentence into two bullet points by mistake. Should I get this corrected as well? TIA!

Salary slips are not needed if salary is mentioned on letter. In your case see if you have apppintment letter or appraisal letter which has salary details for previous position

If you’re getting a new letter anyways why not. Otherwise it doesn’t matter

HR has refused to correct this and they won’t reply to my emails. I learnt that they do not want to give the correction from my manager. What should I do now? I’m really worried I might be rejected due to this. Please help!

If you can't get the new letter than you have no option but to use what you have now and write a LOE and explain the situation.

My reference letter from a different employer is missing salary, previous designations and hours per week. I have payslips and promotion letters but the hours per week is not mentioned in any document. How can I prove this?
