Dear All,

I am claiming points for 1 year experience from a previous employer that I worked 4 years ago, I have basic reference letter (Stamped and on the company letterhead and a payslip), as the company policy do not allow issuing customized letters with job duties, my x manager will issue a letter and attach a business card but that will be on plan paper as the the company letterhead paper used only by HR. could all these documents together accepted as a proof of my employment and duties performed ?

As long as your Manager is happy to provide his Business card and contact details, everything will be ok. You can aslo explain this in a covering note.

It will be appreciated if anyone else with similar situation can share his experience.
 
No, I suggest, try harder
I say that coz I feel that you need this for the only 1 year that u need to show to qualify for the experience.

I am sure you can convince them to do that,,if not your boss, try with HR guys,,

And if it is really that impossible, then collect as much as possible in your work-experience support
(Remember, it says, if you can not get a reference letter, write an explanation Letter for the same)

So write a very good explanation letter, with all the contact no., payslips, other documents, web-address etc.

Thanks canada121 , I know it is better to play it safe with CIC as much as we can, but sometimes it is out of our hand, luckily I am claiming points for another 3 years for the same NOC with my current employer and it is very well documented, my total points is 69 without this one year I am supposed to get 67 with is supposed to qualify me as well , but sure the higher score we can claim the better. iF I FAILED to provide the detailed letter on the company letterhead , i will submit my basic reference issued and stamped by HR , on the company letterhead, along with a pay slip + the plain letter of my manager with his business card. I hope this will be fine , i will do my best and hope for the best. Thanks again :)
