Redo Medicals...

How long did you guys wait for passport request after medicals were redone?
I ask bcs my husband was asked for new medicals in June. He did them on June 30th and still nothing from the Embassy. The Embassy in Vienna said that the results are first sent to London and the London makes the decision on medicals and forwards them to Vienna. They told me it takes about a month. It's been 2. Them also said that its too early for us to worry.
So I'm just curious about other timelines?

Have you been doing this since 2008, and still not done ???

oh yes it started in 2008. Almost over though...everything took extra long, so why should the medicals be any different.
Waited 19 months for background checks

Same here, I'm waiting until now and it's driving me crazy everyday. This month marked the 2nd year since my husband left Canada. It's so frustrating. I cannot resist, I sent an email inquiry to Vienna for follow-up.

It varies case to case and visa office to visa office. My wife received her's 2.5 months after her reMedical. I have seen alot of cases where people received reMedical & passport request together, I have seen the requests anywhere from 2-5 months after remedical on average; some even after 5 months. I have also seen where reMedical is even expired and they have to do it the third time. So it really depends on where your case stands, whether or not the background checks are done, whether the officer is fully convinced on your relationship or not etc etc.

thanks Wes. I do know that everything else is done...background checks and stuff. They did tell me that the only thing they waiting for is the medical results and they will let us know. So I guess I will wait a bit more to follow up with the Doctor.

Perfect! Then its just a matter of them receiving and assessing the medical results and send you the passport request letter

Below is the email response from Vienna on my husband's application

"This replies to your enquiry below concerning your spouse's application.
Please be informed that XXXX application is still being assessed. We regret that we are unable to predict how long exactly this assessment will take.
We will contact you again in writing when we have further information or, require additional evidence or documents from your husband."

Vienna already acknowledged that they received the new PCC & on e-cas, "medical results has been received". We already send the ARC application too I mean how long? 6 months? another year? whats keeping them? I'm sorry but I'm just expressing my frustration. I wish my son & I move temporarily to Hungary than living separately & struggling to make ends meet.

Krofnica: how did they respond to your inquiry? Can you please copy & paste the exact email from Vienna, just hide personal names/info for privacy. Thanks.

I know it's really frustrating! In our they still haven't rec'd the medical results. Here is what they said?

'Please be informed that your case is now pending a new medical examination plus a new Serbian police clearance.' - 1st email
We have received your Serbian Police Certificate. We are now awaiting the assessment of your medical results. We will contact you as soon as the medical assessment has been completed.
This is to confirm that your new police certificate has arrived. Your case is currently pending the new medical results. As soon as we receive the results we will contact regarding further steps.
Once a medical exam is passed the results are forwarded to our mission in London, UK for review. Only then, we receive the results. The process may take approximately one month. No need to follow up with the DMP at the moment'

Thanks Krofnica. at least they indicate in your email that it will take a month. mine is uncertain. anyway, I ordered GCMS/CAIPS to see what's holding back. Good luck Krofnica & wish you will get it soon.

They requested his passport this morning. He's going to Vienna to get it stamped as they do it the same day. Yeay!!!
