Morning, I am looking for your advice folks. I have just landed in Canada as a post grad student, but even before I start my programme, I received an ITA through FSWP. I was wondering if I could postpone my programme until I receive my PR, so that I can study on cheaper costs. However, I would like to know if postponing my studies while in Canada would affect my PR application outcome...like would IRCC inquire why am I not in school yet? Thanks guys

No issue if you want to quit your studies. Change status to visitor.

Your choice. Why not study until you have AOR?
Cost wise, I would pay way less if I study on my PR, than on international student status. The question is, if I defer my admission to the next term, would that be a problem on my PR application?

Study permit has nothing to do with PR application.

No issues. Just make sure you are not working.

Thanks very much. No I am not working. If I do postpone my admission, what do I put on the personal history while filling the PR application? I cannot say student since I am not in class...do I just put unemployed and that's all?
