Hi Guys,

I had received ITA in January but before submitting all documents I had a question. can you please help me out by sharing your thoughts...

Initially my score was 405 and I tried to improve my score by giving IELTS. But luck didn't favored me. In parallel I started searching job through job bank and luckily I found a employer and with in few weeks I received offer letter from that employer and that gave me additional 50 points. so my score was 405 + 50 = 455 and based on this score I received ITA.

My questions are:-
1. If I submit my application and if it got approved do I need to work for same employer from whom I received offer letter (because I claimed 50 points and in that offer letter it says this offer is valid for 12 months). or can I choose any employer after entering in to Canada .
2. If I choose different employer will there be any problem related to immigration in future ?
3. If I decided to work for same employer (who had given me offer letter from which I got 50 points) minimum how many months do I need to work for him ?

Thanks for your response in advance.

Thanks all !!

Did the employer get a lmia for the job being offered to you ?

If no then you dont have a valid job offer and cant claim 50 points for express entry.

Yes, employer had a approved positive LIMA

.
As I had positve LIMA I can get 50 points. But question is : If I submit my application and if it got approved do I need to work for same employer from whom I received offer letter (because I claimed 50 points and in that offer letter it says this offer is valid for 12 months). or can I choose any employer after entering in to Canada .

Once you become a PR you're free to work for any employer, sucks for your current employer though.

Once you become a PR. There are no restriction to stick to any employer. You can join anyone or start your own business. There are no restriction post PR.

Hi @DelPiero07,
In my case, I got 1 year experience under open PGWP, then I just recently got a new closed WP (LMIA exempt) with specific employer name on it. In order to claim 50 points in arranged employments in Express Entry, do I need to work another one full year under closed work permit even though I already have one year of experience with open WP(same employer). Your answer would be much appriciated. Thanks in advance.
