Can somebody please let me know what could be the reason? I applied for my parents super visa. Reason was i had some medical issues and wanted them to come for support. I attached all doctor notes as well. They got PPR however after 5 days got an email that they are still processing the application.
And a month later got refusal saying significant ties in canada , based on purpose of visit and personal assets

Order GCMS notes. So are they eligible for supervisa with you meeting LICO? When you say you have medical issues then what did you say about support?

So i showed their funds and mine as well. My lawyer wrote my invitation letter and it said I am financially capable to support my parents and then in next line he mentioned parents also have enough resources in home country to support their stay.
Both parents are govt employees, attached their bank accounts balances, job letters, leave letters, have properties worth crores back home including all bank balances, assets , provident funds.
I did meet LICO as well

But for Supervisa, you show NOA meeting LICO. What did you say about your medical needs? Why did they apply for a supervisa if they have jobs?

I did submit NOA as well. Actually I just noticed lawyer mentioned in letter that i will bear all their expenses. I did apply for visitor before. That got refused as well. So lawyer suggested me to apply for super

Were you a refugee or protected person? What is your parents citizenship and do they live in that country? Are your mental health issues chronic issues? If they are there could be concern your parents won’t leave

@canuck78 yes i got pr as a protected person. So does that mean they won’t get visitor visa ever?

Probably not forever , but it reduces the chances they’ll be approved .

There maybe the assumption your parents will claim asylum as well.
Government isn’t willing to take that chance

You may have to wait and meet in a third country, so you have options to see them . Just not here
So one can’t say , they’ll never see them again

People who claim asylum have to
Keep in mind that sometimes it’ll affect family members from coming to Canada to visit

Your lawyer , who I assume you’re paying , should have given you a heads up that your asylum claim can come into the equation of them being approved.

Oh okay. Lawyer didn’t tell me that Visa officer has access to the whole asylum story and status.
I used to work at the Government, not the IRCC . The Government has access to way more information than people are aware of .
Third party partners have access as well . Example would be the United States.
The VO would have access to your entire file . Any information they’d need to make a decision on the application
