We are Indian passport holders and residing in India. Our PR sponsorship application has been approved and our medical, police clearance, fees payment has also been completed more than 2 months back. Have couple of queries on the next steps :
1) As we understand on receiving the PR invite, we have just to pack our bags and land in Canada /Province within a certain time. We do not need a Visa/paper from the Canadian embassy in India ?
2) Can we land in Canada on visit visa before we get the PR invite and transfer our permit or if needed cross the border and return.
3) In case point 1 holds. On receiving the PR invite is it mandatory to travel from the country of residence or we can travel from a third country (other than country of residence ) ?

1. During the sponsorship process, IRCC will send a passport request letter asking for physical passports to be sent to IRCC......the sponsorship process ends when the Permanent Residency (PR) visa has been issued IRCC on your Indian Passport for the Principal Applicant (PA) and any accompanying dependents.......PR visa and COPR is required to enter and land as PR in Canada.

2. Yes....you can enter Canada if you have a visitor visa before the PR visa is issued.

3. After the PR visa is issued, the PA and any accompanying dependents can depart from any country other than the country of residence.
