Received medical request 2 week after submitting (arguably) incomplete app

Hello all.

So... we applied for a study permit along with spouse (OWP) and baby (TRV). We were required to submit police certificates from multiple countries in which we have lived over last 13 years. The clock was against us so we couldn't afford to wait for all police certificates to arrive before making an application. So we sent in the app with very polite request in the cover letter to just start processing the app while we gather and send in rest of the certificates. Two weeks fast forward, we have received emails instructing us to complete our medicals and submit the medical forms within the next 30 days. This comes without any confirmation / intimation regarding acceptance or rejection of our request regarding missing certificates.

How'd you interpret this development? Specially looking for comments from people here who could draw from their own experience of dealing with CIC or having received study permit in past.

Best,
Majid

Usually been asked for medical exams is a really good sign that your application is on the right track an you might get an approval if everything goes right with medical checks...

Almost all refusals are done before requesting medicals...(would make no sense to ask for medical exams if you have already decided to refuse an application)...

I would suggest to verify that you really need all those police certificates.... if you do, well you are given 30 more days to submit them along with your medical examination results... that would be the wise thing to do....
