First, only Canadian employers apply for LMIA, not the employee applicant. LMIA is to prove that no citizen or PR can do the job. After LMIA is approved, the employer then can offer the job to non-citizen/non-PR. LMIA does not have the employee applican'ts name.

Second, when you apply for a job, you do your research about the company in advance. Even if you are using a consultant, you still apply for the job and undergo the usual hiring process.

People who post here to ask if theirLMIA is legit or not usually just receive a letter stating that their LMIA application is approved, even when they did not apply for the job. Note that LMIA requires employer to pay IRCC CAD$1,000 as fee.

I don't have a copy of a real LMIA. However the fake job offers are extremely easy to spot. This is for many reasons. This can include: badly phrased / incorrect English, offer of free food / accommodations / flight, working hours or salary that are not normal, benefits that are not normal, incorrect processes mentioned for getting the LMIA or work permit, and fake websites and companies we know are scams.

Other factors that indicate a scam is if you are being asked for money in exchange for the job offer / LMIA, if the job was very easy to get, if there was no employer interview, if there is any urgency indicated in applying and submitting your documents.

worker,prior to issuing a work permit.An LMO does not authorize the foreign worker(s)to enter,remain or work in
Canada,it Is only one of CIC's requirements to determine whether to issuing a work permit.
Please note that If a work permit is issued to that foreign worker on the basis of this opinion,you are required to comply
with the conditions site out in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulation (IRPR)and out lined in this LMIA
