Received landing interview email from CIC - but i already landed

Hi Guys

I am last year CEC applicant and received my COPR last month and landed this month a week ago. My ecas status shows that my app is complete with my landing information. Today I received an email from CIC to attend landing interview at Etobicoke.

I have been staying in Canada since I applied for PR.

Is this interview for PR card address verification or some other issue?

CIC email Communication works in Batch Mode.
To me it looks like a system glitch , I am pretty sure once you reach for Interview in ETOBICOKE they will say "Why you are here" ?

So instead of walk in on that day , is it good to call them and inform about my landing details?

Another question. Does this affect my PR card processing time (may delay)?

I would suggest that you visit them if you are near Toronto and Clarify on face that why did I get this mail.
I don't think it should effect your PR card

This is something they are doing new now days and what is the intention behind doing it , I am not aware of it to be precise.

Thanks Gurinder, yea I am in Toronto and the interview scheduled for dec 1st , but as per current processing time I should receive my pr card before that day hopefully.

If it goes fine, I will visit the office with my PR CARD.
