I just have two questions:

1. What does paper file history->location: PNP-EVAL means?
2. My criminality check started on May 22nd 2013 and its still in progress. Medicals is passed and updated on July 2nd. How long will t take to complete criminality check/security check?

Please answer me..I'm getting so impatient...

What does this say about your spouse? Is your spouse inside canada ?

Once criminality is completed, ecas will show as 'in process' instead of app recevived status.

If you are lucky, you will see your ecas showing in process between 80-90 days of receiving AOR.

Hope this helps.

Yes, my spouse is in Canada. We received AOR around 22nd May and the same day our criminality check started as per GCMS.

Don't worry, 22 May + 90 days will work out.. :)

If it works out, then do acknowledge my forecast :P

PNP-EVAL means 'PNP Evaluation'...It means your case has left the shelf and it is being processed.
Criminality check involves a lot of things...country of origin, countries you've visited, etc...Since you & your spouse are both in Canada, it is much better. Reason being that you both have FOSS record with the Canadian Govt. Normally, criminality shouldn't exceed 4 to 5 names, except your name rings a bell on another country's database. This is why it is always advisable to submit police report with finger prints to CIC when submitting your application. Don't worry, be calm & patient.

it means your file has been assigned to an officer. Your criminality has been started. Once the officer completes it, he/she will get back to you.

When files get to Ottawa, it goes to location 'HD-1'. After which it gets moved to 'Prov - Reg'...Meaning 'Provincial Nomination Register'. When assigned to an Officer, the location becomes the 'Officer's Code'. After review, the officer puts it back into the 'Prov - Reg'...

For more clarification, check undere 'Paper File History' in your GCMS notes at the last 5 pages of the note.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I hope they won't take too long now. I still don't get why my file was at CIO and not Ottawa till may 1st. I got Aor in January and medical exam was done on Feb 6th. No update after 24th march when ecas changed to "medical recieved".
