Hello,

Just received letter from CIC that my visa is ready (which is great news!).
In the letter I was instructed to send my passport to the visa office based in Vienna (as I am currently resident in North West - Europe).

The thing is, my accompanying spouse and daughter live/reside in a country different than mine / and outside Europe. They are part of my PR application. All of us require immigrant visa to move to Canada.

Do I send also their passports together with mine to the office in Vienna - all at once, or do I have to inquire CIC to assign specifically a visa office to the dependent's so their visas get processed based on their location of residence.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

You need to raise a CSE via IRCC webform (link here) and/or send an email to CPC Ottawa (at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca) to request the change of the visa office for your spouse and dependent(s). You will get a second PPR email for them to send their passports to a local visa office. Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your reply. This is well noted.
I have also the possibility to have them (spouse and dependent child) travel to Europe (they do have visitor visa for this) and send their passports out of there together with mine to the VO in Vienna. Would this work and be technically correct? Do you have to get approval for this via a CSE query?
Or is it mandatory that the visa office is assigned to them based on the country of residence?
PS: Actually I already booked their flight tickets.

That is totally fine too. They can even only send the passports to you and you send all passports together. No approvals are needed or whatsoever. Congratulations and Good luck!
