Hi this is my progress

My Wife is Canadian and is sponsoring me In-Land via Vegreville

1. Submitted Application only - December 20 2009
2. Application Received - February 2010
3. Received Approval of Sponsorship in Wifes name Dated Sept 21 2010

The thing i spoke with my lawyer they are saying a letter should follow in my name after that of my wifes. Any Ideas. In the letter they did not mention anything about transferring my file to local office.

Anyone been in or heard of this situation

They mail the two letters separately, so it's possible they will arrive on different days.

Technically the letter your wife received was approval of the sponsorship. AIP, or Approval in Principle on the PR application is different - that is (hopefully) what you will receive when your letter arrives.

Have you tried logging into e-CAS using your wife's details (surname, date of birth) and the client ID number on her sponsorship approval letter, to see if there is any info on the PR portion of the application there?

Hi Sasmak. there is an inlanders thread and there you will find many people with similar cases to yours. Im pretty sure you may find an answer there.
here is the link

Other than that i wouldnt worry if i were you. SOunds like good news. Good Luck!..

Thanks Guys, Well i had not received anything from them except the letter that they approved the sponsorship so that was a good sign seeing i sent over 200+ photos.

I cant stop from getting nervous, I have not slept properly for months lol.

Well the Lawyer said it was a positive sign meaning that they were satisfied at least with the docs etc. Just wondering where my letter is lol.

Thanks,

I know it must be pretty nerve wrecking. I know that feeling as im there right now. That is why we have this forum to get support from other people in our situation. there is also another thread for inlanders 2010 . http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/inland-applications-2010-t48144.0.html

You are not alone. I am routing for ya!. get something to do. hahahaha. easier said than done right?. Go somewhre for a week to keep your mind off it and when you come back "boom" your good news will be in the mailbox :) . I dont think the letters come together. I think i read somewhere that within a week after your spouse receives his approval to sponsor letter you get your documentation.

Good luck..

Just another note guys, I logged into ECAS with the client ID of my wifes, the first portion regarding sponsorship said Decision Made and letter would be sent to you but i thought they were referring to the letter sent to my wife.

In the letter it says Vegreville office will contact me shortly.... So it could be good news.. I figured it was first stage as the website (ECAS) seemed to suggest it with only showing 2 options. That being Sponsorship evaluation and the second being about the PR processing which no information was avaliable.

I will have to wait and see..
