I received this email from a company called Tendings Economic. Some interview type questions were asked in the email. So I replied with my answers. But when searching for this company, there is NONE information besides the company website. NO LinkedIn, NO Glassdoor. Even NO information on the Canada Company Record. (Later I feel I should do the research before replying)
Then they reply me:
" You need to provide next information, before you will start probation period:
1 - A scan / picture of any document which verify your identity.
Copies will be protected and confidential, will be used for identity verification.
2 - Carefully read the contract, and then fill it out.
You must print it out, fill out, sign in, scan(take pics on your phone) and send it back.
Please provide necessary documents soon. Please fill out the contract carefully.
I am looking forward to start work with you together, I believe you will get priceless experience working with us.
Feel free to ask me at any time if you have any questions."
I do have questions about their company and the position. So I asked. But they just answered me fuzzily. According to their website, there are two office locations, one is in Bolton, UK, and the other is in Vancouver. As I am living in Toronto, I asked if there is an office in Toronto or anyplace in Ontario. But they said "new representative office in your area" and didn't tell me the exact place. I even search this company in British website and nothing is found.
Also, there is a so-called Probation.
" Probation will be during 7 days should be enough to learn the job basics.
You will better understand company's services, and our business.
I will be your personal curator. I will give you all the necessary material for training,
as well as you get from me all instructions how to perform your tasks.
You will learn how company's services works and even more.
Probationary during 7 days (working from home/online office) free schedule.
You will meet with our representative in your area after probation.
During 7 days, we will explain a lot about this job, and company will provide you initial capital, and I will teach you a lot about
online trading, online procurements. The company provide wide specter of financial services.
Our company has an advantage because the company expands business now, and you can easily and quickly move up by career ladder."
I am a new graduate and don't have too much experiences in these kind of things. Does it look like a scam? And they're waiting for my reply. How should I turn down it whithout further harassment if it is a scam.
