Receipt of Acknowledgement- How long should take?

Hello,

My application for citizenship was received by Sydney centre on December 7, 2012. I have not received ROA yet. How long it should normally take? Can we check the status on-line before receiving the ROA?

Once the application is received it'll be visible on eCAS and a little later you'll get the package in the mail. Count on it taking about two months, so you should get it in two-three weeks.

CIC received a 'surge' of applications in October 2012 to beat the language requirement effective applications received November 1st, 2012. Seems 6-8 weeks is the new AOR timeline...you need to factor in the Xmas and New Year holiday period!

Nothin iman u just insert ur client id ( pr card id) and the rest is easy . Pls share with me if u have updates n i will do the same. Good luck

I sent it out on Dec 12. USPS show the package received on Dec 14. No acknowledgement of Receipt letter. No Ecas nothing so far.

Contact CIC and ask what date applications they are opening - this will give you an idea of how soon you will get your received letter.

Still No updates, no e-cas. Anybody knows if this 6-8 weeks are considered based on business days or all the days? My application was received on Dec. 7th and today is Feb.14th. More than two months, no update!

Hi Iman, by my experience i would say it would take atleast 2 months for Acknowlegement; I would suggest to call CIC call center to find out the status
