i got a message from cic today saying my application has been closed. i applied in december 2015 under the cec class. i have been working at my current job for 2yrs now. 1yr while in my second year in school and the other 1yr since i graduated. today i got a message from cic stating that i couldnt use that experience as it shows that i was still in school fulltime as well and as a result reduced my cra points. my question now is this, since i have also worked full time for a year since may 2015 upon graduation, can i send a letter stating that to cic. i am really confused right now. what can i do. somebody help!!!!!

The problem

Your experience from May 2015 to December 2015 does count- but since it did not constitute 1 full year of full time experience at the time you applied/got your ITA, you were ineligible, and your application has been refused.
My suggestion is to make a new profile on EE, and apply once you get a new ITA- you have enough experience now (presuming your work experience since graduation has been full time) to make it work now.

Agreed. You have to meet the requirements when you receive ITA. So you cannot simply add experience gained after your ITA.

You will have ti create a new profile and get another ITA, assuming that you have the full 1 year by now.

Also, make sure to include the rejection in your new profile.

All the best!

Just to add to the points raised by @Aragorn165 and Andre_smol, you are now eligible for CEC program as at May 2016 which implies that you can create a new EE profile and wait for ITA. However, you can only claim one year of experience and not two years experience to avoid future rejection
