My application got rejected for not providing Proof of a completed foreign educational credential along with ECA. I provided the ECA but didn't provide the degree certificate. I have to resubmit my application quickly. I have a few questions regarding the reapplication.

1 - When they returned my application, there was a UCI number filled in it. Can I reuse the UCI number.
2 - I applied under the 2174 category. Is there still a chance of getting through in that category.
3 - Is there any other category which is similar to 2174.
4 - I'm applying from USA. Which is the best Visa Immigration Office to apply to. I initially applied with Sydney, Nova Scotia.
5 - Which is the best way to send application. UPS or Fedex. What options should I choose for Delivery Confirmation.

I will be very thankful for your replies. Thanks.

I see the following numbers for the category you mentioned
2174 Computer programmers and interactive media developers 135

I am sure you looked at this at the following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

I am also curious how updated this number is. I am reading on the forums they are charging 12th May applications now so may be its possible the number is as of 12th May.

1) Your UCI is issued permanently. Use it for all future applications with CIC.
2) Act fast. You have nothing to lose except courier fee.
3) No idea, sorry.
4) You cannot chose your VO. If you are located in the USA, look through CIC site to find out what VO handles your area of living. Remember that you have to submit the application to CIO first!
5) UPS Express all the way. You will have a delivery confirmation citing the name of the person who signed for your package.

Good luck!

Thanks a lot Diplomatru... :)

2171 2173 and 2174 are all quite similar to me. all depend on how you put your reference letter.

What date did you send the original application and when did you receive response from them.

I have submitted my application last week under 2173.
