Hello,

I live outside Canada and recently received my COPR. However, due to some reason I won't be able to travel to Canada for the landing procedure (the one that everyone has to go through to actually get the PR). I know that the COPR can not be extended. So, I am thinking of reapplying again for the PR. My COPR expires in September 2019. And I have some questions regarding that:
- Do I have to wait till my COPR expires or a certain period after it expires before I can apply again?
- Does my previous application in any way affect my new application?

Thanks!

- You'll need to wait until your COPR expires before you can reapply.
- Zero impact.

Just to confirm, I can submit for an express entry application (and hopefully get an invitation to apply) and get medical and other checks done. But I have to wait till my current COPR expires before I submit a new PR application or I cant even submit an express entry application?

You have to wait until your COPR expires before you can set up another Express Entry profile.

Alternatively - reach out to IRCC and tell them to cancel the COPR if you want to set up the EE profile again now.
