Dear Knowledgeable members,
I had applied for PRTD in one of the ME posts after reaching here to attend some business meetings. The which was rejected citing the reason of non compliance with the RO though I had serious concerns on this decisions.
However, I have been asked to make an appeal to IAD which I will do definitely. The letters I received have given me APPEAL FORMS and the address. It also says:
"Based on the information you provided , you are entitled to a travel document pursuant to paragraph 31(3)(c) of the Immigration Act
31.(3) A permanent Resident outside Canada who is not in a position of a status document indicating PR status shall, following an examination, be issued a TD if an officer is satisfied that
(c) they were physically present in Canada at least once within the 365 days before the examination and they have made an appeal that has not been finally determined or the period for making such an appeal has not yet expired.
My questions are:
What do they mean by "examination"?
Can I re-apply for TD after making an appeal only?
Or
Can I re-apply for the TD immediately before making an appeal as letter says "or the period for making such an appeal has not yet expired"?
How can I re-apply for the TD? Again to download same PRTD form, filling up all the same details and re-submitting same supporting documents? The provided letters does not have any information on reapplying process!!!
The renewal of PR cards was applied for the complete family at same time and should we expect the same result on the other family members' application also though they are currently living in the Canada?
Any other information / suggestion is really appreciated.
Thanks in advance for the help and support at this testing time
Regards
Amir
