I can not get more than 25 correct answer in Reading and Listening Ielts practice, how to improve it?
I have about 20 days for exam and I need 6.5 :-[ :-[

I have lots of these sites and I download many practice but still the same weakness result.

Brothers any one have a way to devlop my Reading and Listening skills.

Hi,

For listening try to watch english movies or interview that will improve your skills, secondly you can try to practice as much as you can because its all about the practice, in listening last section is hard to get good score so try to pull your score in first 3 sections as they are very easy and you can easily get 7. For Reading i have only one tip and that is to start from the last section and then work backward because it gets harder each section and if you do last sections in the end then you wont have much time to concentrate and will easily loose marks.

Best way to practice listening is to listen to radio. I feel if you see movies you will get distracted by picture and your mind will process the images first than the audio since you can understand the image more than the audio.

check out www.npr.org and go to listen tab. There are lots of programs and also a 24 hr schedule and write down what you listen.

Reading - Time your sections. The first section is the easiest. Try to do that first and fast and the move on. Last section will really take time.

The need not to be distracted when it comes to the Listening module cannot be ignored. While I am comfortable with the language, I only managed a 7.5 for it. My reason was that I was distracted, when the passage was read. Of course my wife had other ideas, and she claims that it is proof that I have difficulty in listening to others! ;D ;D ;D
