My daughter's photos had been rejected twice already. I don't know what's wrong with it coz our pictures had been taken by the same photo shop. My husband's and mine were accepted. So we got our PR cards with no hassle at all.
I have received a letter saying that they have scheduled an appointment for my daughter for her to submit the photos with the correct specification by the 3rd week of August, the only problem is that we're living outside Canada at the moment, due to work constraint, there's a good chance that my daughter will miss that appointment.
Now, my daughter's file is going to be held in that CIC office till Nov 2010 until it will be considered abandoned. That's after 180 days already. What does it mean?? Will she not get her PR card anymore? She's still A PR right? Can she not get her PR card without going there in person?? Please help!!!

1. If she doesn't pick up the card by the 180 day deadline, she will have to apply for a new card when she returns to Canada and pay the processing fee.
2. If she requires a visitor visa to travel to Canada, then she will have to apply for a Travel document at an overseas Canadian office.

Hi PMM,

Thanks for the reply, really apperciate it.

Just to confirm, my daughter needs to apply for a Travel document to enter Canada when we go back there early 2011? Won't her COPR suffice to enter Canada?

Will I have to apply for her Travel document in my country of residence? We are currently outside Canada for less than a year now since our first landing, is there a chance that her Travel document will be refused?

Thank you in advance.

1. Yes, she would need a TD. If you look at the COPR you will note it is for ONE entry.
2. You can apply to the office which services the country where you are residing. As long as she meets the 2/5 years, it will be issued.
