There is no official ranking system for private schools in Toronto. So if you want to focus on schools which are academically strong, then there are rankings done by Universities. For example, some well-known universities have strong holds in certain subjects and will run national competitions for these subjects and rank the schools based on their results. For example University of Toronto has a National Biology contest each year. The top 3 private schools in the Greater Toronto Area were:
