Re-entry Visa: Returning to Canada with a S1 TRV after graduation

Hello,

I recently graduated from school and obtained an after graduation work permit. I then applied for the re-entry visa based on my work permit. It has been more than 6 weeks and I still haven't received an email to send my passport. I have a S1 multiple entrance TRV visa valid up to Nov 2014 based on my study permit which also expires in Nov 2014. My questions are:

1) Will I be able to return to Canada with my S1 TRV before Nov 2014?

2) What would happen if I'm outside Canada and they ask me to send my passport? Will I be able to send my passport from outside Canada?

3) Is it better for me to return to Canada and send my passport for the new TRV or to reapply for another visa from outside Canada?

yes... but it is not adviced:

"◦If you do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope or if you provide a return prepaid envelope from any other private courier, we will return your passport by regular mail. Please note that our office is not responsible for any items lost in the mail."

You can send you passport from virtually any point on the planet so long as there is a postal/courier/logistics service there.
