Re entry jn canada travelling outside after applying for Post graduate work permit

Hi,
I am having issues and i want someone to guide me proper.
My case is that my student visa is expiring on 31 December 2019 and my study completes on 4 Oct 2019. I want to travel to India for my brother's wedding after my studies end . Can i go to india after applying my PGWP and come back in December while my PGWP application still processing.
I am comming back on 8 dec 2019 and I'm worried about my re entry because i heard news and rumors that officer officer questions and sometimes denied your rentry.

Please guide me in this situation because i couldn't find more articles regarding to this.

As long you have a valid TRV to fly back to Canada, you should have no issues.

But if i apply for pgwp my status of student doesn't change and when i will come back i will have onlg 20 days left in my visa
