Hi everyone. I am new here and I hope to get some helpful advise from you good people...

I got my PR portal invitation on 13 Sept and finish updating address/photos on 14 Sept. I am now currently waiting for my eCoPR and PR card but a CoPR is available in my PR tracker.

Okay, here comes my problem...
I will have a 5 days trip which was booked before to Europe on 8 Oct, and I just realised I cannot get back to Canada if I do not have a PR card!!!! I do not have a US Visa so I cannot go in by land from the US....And I will just stay for 5 days, there is definitely no time for me to get a PRTD in Europe...

Does anyone have been in this situation please? o_O
Is it true that I cannot use my eCoPR and a valid passport to get into Canada again without my PR card? Will my eTA on both of my foreign passports got cancelled after eCoPR?
What else can I do other than cancel my trip and waste $1000+ :(

You cannot use your COPR to board the flight.

There is some very small chance your eTA may still be valid. But that's a huge dice roll and there's a good chance it's been canceled in the system and you'll be denied boarding if that's all you have.

Unfortunately the short answer to your question is that only a valid PR card or valid PRTD will guarantee that you'll be able to board. The COPR definitely won't work and the eTA is a super long shot. The issue won't be entering Canada. The issue will be that the airline won't let you board with the proper and valid documents.

There aren't any other options unfortunately.

Thank you for replying!!
Isn't it that before I receive my eCOPR, I am still not officially a PR and my eTA is still valid? I see it may take a month for people to receive their eCOPR...just thinking if I will only get it after my trip so I can enter with eTA...

I misunderstood your first post. If you haven't received your eCOPR yet, then you might get lucky and not get the eCOPR before you leave. Then I think you should be OK. However I don't know what would happen if the eCOPR is issued while you are outside of Canada.

If you could go back in time, I would have said hold off on completing the portal invitation steps until after you trip. That would have been the best course of action. But of course too late for that now.
