Re-entering Canada 1 Year 4 months after obtaining PR - Any additional requirements?

My cousin and family completed landing formalities and received their PR cards in Nov 2019. They stayed for 1 week with me and went back to USA. Now he has got an offer to join a Canadian company in Apr 2021.

As they have been out of Canada for 1 year 4 months, can they simply re-enter using the PR card? Or any additional formalities are required to be completed?

They should check and be up to date on covid requirements - separate from pr. They may be different depending on whether arriving by air or land.

Does your cousin have a SIN (Social Insurance Number) ? He cannot work legally unless he has one.

Yes, he has a SIN number. They got it when they landed in Nov 2019.

They plan to enter by land using a one-way rental car. I will be arranging a separate bath attached room in my house for them to quarantine.
