Re-enter Canada

My husband and I just sent in our application for SCLPC.
He has student visa here in Canada.

My husband is from Crimea, Russia.

My question is... is he allowed to travel during the application process and will he be able to re-enter Canada again.

Is he still attending school? Someone here had their student visa revoked at re-entry since as a result of questioning it became apparent he/she had finished attending classes.
