Okay so here’s my case
I originally applied for a canadian study permit from india back in August 2016.
Now Im in India, but im pretty sure that my visitor record doesn’t allow re entry to canada.
I am just confused now because i dont know how to go back to canada ? Im gonna need few months to be financially able to reapply for study permit from India ( since i have to do the GIC and tuition again) Or should i apply for visitor visa to re enter ? Does already having a visitor record approved helps with probability of visitor visa/study visa ?
All the answers are appreciated.
I originally applied for a canadian study permit from india back in August 2016.
- Got my study permit in Dec 2016 and landed in Vancouver in the same month.
- Initially it had an expiry date of 31 July 2019
- Overstayed my visa expiry date for some reason.
- On October 22nd, 2019, While i was in my 90 days restoration period, i applied for Visitor record because I couldn’t get the enrolment letter on time for study visa renewal.
- On November 26 2019, while my application was in process, due to some family emergency, i flew back home to india.
- On 6 February 2020, i got medical request, while i was in india.
- On 8 feb 2020, got my application approved for visitor record.
- On 14 feb 2020, got my visitor record document in mail, stating its valid from 12 feb 2020 to 11 March 2020.
Now Im in India, but im pretty sure that my visitor record doesn’t allow re entry to canada.
