hi, I am sending in my parents second visa application for a visit. They were rejected in December 2019 for purpose of travel and financial reasons.
Here are the quick details:
- I have been a PR in canada since Sept 2019
- i am inviting them to Canada for 2 weeks to attend my wedding
- i am an only child
- my parents have never left China, only reason they are coming to Canada is for my wedding
Here is what they submitted:
- letter of invitation (including copy of the wedding contract and wedding invitation)
- my NOA, pay stubs and my savings (i know my stuff doesn't really matter but i thought it didn't hurt to include)
The following financial documents were provided:
- my mom's chequeing account activity showing that her last pay (July 2019) was deposited and then her pension began in December 2019 with back pay. My mom worked for the Chinese government, she included a letter from the government explaining that there was a delay in processing her pension.
- her savings account from January 2019 - Oct 2019 showing an average monthly balance of 100,000 CAD
- Certificate of deposit for $40,000 CAD
- Copy of home ownership documents and documents confirming no mortgage
**** All financial documents are in my mom's name. My dad does cash jobs on the side. Can't show any proof of employment or bank balances. On the letter of explanation we indicated that my mom would cover all my dad's expenses.
in terms of the ties to China. this was more difficult:
- we included my mom's dad who 79 and in China. They are not the primary caregivers and he doesn't live with them for him but they do take him for groceries and get him supplies etc.
- my mom's sisters/brother and my dads siblings are also in china (very weak i know)
- party in China - my mom is hosting a party in China after the wedding. (coming home ceremony, tradition in China) My fiance's parents are also coming from Canada to attend this. We included a copy of their flights and itinerary for the trip, everything is confirmed. my mom has given the deposit for the hall and we included a copy of the booking slip for the event which is after our wedding in Canada.
- my mom is also a member of the communist party of china. to maintain this membership she must attend a meeting every 6 months.
i am just very nervous about re-submitting, I don't know if we can handle being rejected again. I know the other option is supervisa, which we qualify for but they don't want to stay for 2 years and only want to come for a quick visit.
can anyone provide some additional help or suggestions to help with our application.
thank you
