Hi everyone,

If anyone can help me with the following question.
My PR application(Oct 2014) is in process. I received an email today from CIC asking me to send RCMP certificate ,however I did send one with my original application.
Just wondering do I still need to send RCMP certificate again.

Please reply.

Thanks to all. :)

Yes, I believe RCMP certificate in valid for 3 months

@RISH427

I checked on RCMP website ,it says under attention section :

An electronic fingerprint submission to the RCMP is not currently available outside of Canada. You may contact accredited companies within Canada who will digitize ink fingerprints and submit them electronically to the RCMP.

I hope this may help you. :)

I would say do it even if you have already submitted. I am a july applicant same email ignored as mentioned no medicals yet. It is no harm to do it again and submit

I am seeing a lot of posts which mention that ppl are getting requests to submit RCMP.
I applied in April 2014. and my application is still in "Application recieved."

Since jan 2015, i have moved to india.

While applying, i had researched and nowhere did it mention that if you are applying within canada, that u requires seperate RCMP.
hence obviously i Did not apply for one.
My question is that WHAT IF they ask me for an RCMP now..?? how can i get it done now.. I AM NO LONGER IN CANADA.

@ RISH427;

For RCMP from India; Please contact for details at below;

Worldwide Forensic Services Inc.
RCMP’s Accredited and Certified Fingerprinting Agency
ClearNeed Affiliate
55 Town Centre Court, Suite 642
Toronto, ON M1P 4X4 Canada

info@fingerscan.ca

Comparatively cost effective way to get the RCMP done fast from India as one need to send finger print on the RCMP form (C-216C) courier to them. Having a friend in Canada us helpful for fast submission of RCMP to CIC else you need to give India address to (to receive RCMP report) and send it back to CIC. Please discuss in details with WFSC in details. they are very helpful.

hope this will be quick for you.

Simialr thing happened with me but with PCC. I submitted in october but CIC came back again in Jan for PCC.

I have called CiC office and they told me to ignor that email. they have my PCC.

If you have already submitted then you can email or call them to check.. do they really need it ?

My current location is India & I submitted Indian PCC with my App.

Looks like RCMP is also required,as CIC has specifically asked

Hi everyone,

CIC asked me to send RCMP again even though I sent it with my original application. I checked with my agency from where I got my finger printings done. Agency member said that RCMP is valid for 1 year after PR application. He did not suggested me to get it done again.

I hope this may help others.

Thanks all. :)
