Hi all,

I have been waited RCMP report 5.5 months and still in processing. Today,I just got the fifth extension from IRCC. However, in the letter it SAYS: " PLEASE DO NOT LOAD ANYTHING BUT THE RCMP FINGERPRINTS CERTIFICATE ONCE YOU HAVE IT. this must be received at this office by:2016/08/02". What dose that mean? it means it is my last extension and if I can not submitted BEFORE Aug/02, I will be rejected. Really feel so hopeless... Please give me any suggestion. Thanks.

Have you tried contacting RCMP? What is their explanation for this delay?

Hi,

I have arrest record but finally I got the stay of proceeding, which means I do not have a conviction record.

Hi,

I am sure it's not the end of the world . They won't keep the report with them for long. So waiting is the game . U never know I could still be rejected for any other flaw on my file .

I have no record and mine was received in 2 weeks time.
If you don't like sitting around waiting why don't you go take another fingerprint and request one one more time?

Did you do your fingerprinting @ RCMP or third party store?

I did it from third party store.

Hope it helps.

Be optimistic and look at it as "good luck" as you got a stay of proceedings (in other words, you're eligible for immigration, as you don't have any conviction, this is the best possible outcome except a finding of non-guilty (it's pretty much non-guilty as long as law is concerned)). Otherwise it would have been game over. IRCC will wait for the report, as you did whatever was in your power to obtain it. Make sure you don't get in trouble with the law again, everyone can make a mistake once, but second time it's not excusable. In case you don't get it next month, just email/call RCMP, and also make sure you include all your previous emails to RCMP when corresponding with IRCC so that IRCC sees that it's not your fault it takes so long.

You can contact RCMP records check division at CCRTIS-SCICTR@rcmp-grc.gc.ca, write "URGENT Permanent Resident Application" on the subject line, and explain them that you really cannot wait anymore for your record check, as it's already much more than 120 days since you applied, see http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/processing-time-criminal-record-and-vulnerable-sector-checks. This may put some pressure on them.
