Hi,

One thing is confusing me. I got my police check (without vulnerable sector search) from Calgary Police. As I am reading now, I am realizing, CIC asks for RCMP check which also takes finger prints.

Did you get finger printed and got your police clearance from RCMP office or basic criminal record check from local police without finger printing was sufficient??

Thanks!

Were you requested this PCC by the officer processing your application?

Then what you currently have is not sufficient, you need to go through the RCMP process.

I would advice against it though but up to you.

You suggest I don't submit Canadian PCC?

IMO you're wasting time and money for something that most likely won't be needed.

You don't have to submit Canadian police certificate with your initial application if you live in Canada.
It should be submitted only if you are asked for one by Immigration officer during processing of your application.
