Hello,

I applied under the CEC in Jan 2014 as principal applcnt along with spouse and kid as dependents fr outside of Canadaand Received the AOR in Feb 2014.
After a month, I.e now Mar 2014 have recieved email for RCMP cert for finger printing for both me and wife.

I had preemptively submitted my RCMP certificate along with the appln but now have to submits wife's.
As per RCMP website it takes close to 120 days to get the cert, however CIC requires it within 60 days.

As I am outside Canada how can I spped up this?
What happens if CIC doest not receive it beyond 60 days?
Should I too re apply and submit the cert again?

Thanks,
N

If you are living in GTA, i know a private agency which can help you get your certificate within 14 business days.

You can't speed it up, but the RCMP is usually faster than the posted time frame. You inform CIC that the posted time for the RCMP finger print check is 120 days.

Thank you. I will do as suggested.
Also do I have reply to their email quoting the physical correspondence or will the mail do?

Will the reciept of the cert be acknowledged by the CIC?

Some companies are now authorized to receive fingerprints on paper/cardstock, convert them to digital fingerprints, and then submit electronically to the RCMP on your behalf. This would speed things up -

For example -

Also notice that after July 1 of this year, paper-based fingerprints will no longer be accepted by RCMP...
