Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding the proof of funds. I am confused because I have read different opinions in forums.

I have been holdings funds in Fixed Deposits (6 month term), which were opened more than a year ago (I have been renewing them).

As proof, I have bank letters that certifies: certificates number, current balance, that this balance has been there for past 6 months, opening date, maturity date, an explanation that these funds are free of debt, available and transferible at this day and informing for how much (before the maturity is reached, how much is easily accesible).

Are these bank letters ok and sufficient? Or do I need to attach also a copy of each FD Certificate? (I am not confortable showing this copies to a translator, only if it is really necessary).

Thanks.

Hey guys I am at 438 and my profile is in pool since dec when can I expect ITA and guess??
CIC's intentions are not clear, as off now.. if they do not resort to 3 week draw in August or reduce the draw size, and continue in the current pattern, you will get by october.. we will get a better idea after August

Am at 440 and submitted my EE profile on 19th July, 2018. Will loose 5 marks on 12th Aug due to age. I have one chance on 8th Aug otherwise will have to reappear for IELTS.

Good luck man. I was sitting on 441 for ages, but kept narrowly missing out, then lost 5 points due to my birthday, and of course, shortly afterwards the cut off came down to 441. So I know your struggle! Now sitting patiently on 436...

Thanks for your concern tonyj88...

Although I have chance to raise my IELTS score by 6 points, I find i a herculean task. However, I'll not loose my hopes.

I am at 435 and will lose 5 in mid-October mid. I can max get 6 in IELTS. Still looks a tough task.

You can show PoF under FD. But the FD should be readily en-cashable.
So a FD certificate and a letter from the bank that I can encash this anytime.

That's all you need on a bank letter, no need to attach copy of FD certificate.

IELTS is the only way for you and this is the harsh truth. You are definately not going to be invited in the next round. I am sitting on 440 with 24th Feb 2018 date and I don't believe either. If you can increase even 1 point through IELTS it's worth the try than just waiting. I am CLB 11 and had to max out my IELTS points in order to reach 440. Same is the case for my spouse. Don't waste time book a date.
